Birds And Visitors is a live look into what happens in and around my garden in Niedermohr, Germany. Birds are just the beginning.
My name is Aebe. I run the cameras, the feeder and the nest boxes, and I share what they see: nest building, eggs, feeding, young birds leaving the nest, and the visitors nobody planned for, such as squirrels, hedgehogs, foxes and even deer.
The setup
- Two cameras at the tree: one pointed at the feeding place on the ground, one about 1.5 metres up, pointed at the standing feeder pole
- One nest box with a camera inside
- A top-view camera at the back that can see across the whole garden
- A small nest box that I stream from now and then, and a feeding place where birds and other animals come and go all day. The full list is on the Equipment page
Nothing is staged
What you see is what happens, when it happens. That includes the beautiful moments and the hard ones. Nature is not always kind, and I show it honestly.
